We welcome visitors to the vineyard and cellar door all year round.
In Winter you can wander through the vines along our vineyard trail, take in the views from the windmill balcony and pick up a bottle or two to take away.
From Easter time onwards we are open on Saturdays as well as weekdays and offer wine by the glass, cheeseboards, picnics, tours and events.
Vineyard Trail
Currently Open – Monday to Friday, 11am to 4pm – Free of charge
Follow our self-guided trail around the vines to discover how we grow grapes and explore special little spots throughout the vineyard. Look out for the vine quiz on our information signs, bio-diverse wild strips promoting insect and bird life and an ancient oak sculpture in pride of place amongst the vines – you might also spot our family of alpacas or breeding wild fowl along the way. The Windmill, Viewing Platform and Wine Lodge are great locations to enjoy views of the South Downs. Our veranda Cellar Door is open to buy wine to take home.
Guided Tours & Tastings

Join us this Summer for a guided tour of the vineyard and winery, followed by a tasting of our award winning wines in the lodge, besides the historic windmill.

We offer our popular picnics from Easter Weekend and throughout the Summer. They are packed with delicious dishes and seasonal Sussex produce from our family farm and kitchens. Collect from our cellar door then explore the vineyard to feast amongst the vines at one of our idyllic picnic spots throughout the estate. Add a bottle of Nutty Wild when you prebook, or choose from our range when you visit. A selection of our wines are available by the glass.

Bank Holidays and Thursday evenings throughout the summer are a chance to enjoy Gregory Gladwin’s mouthwatering beef burgers, paired with our sparkling wine in the stunning setting of Nutbourne Vineyards.
Pre-book your place in or around the wine lodge to enjoy these idyllic summer occasions, with music wafting through the vines. The burgers are made with our own Sussex-reared beef, cooked in the vinewood-fired oven and served in brioche buns with local tomatoes and salad.
The bubbly: Nutty Wild is a classic bottle fermented sparkler – a joyous dry wine with an abundance of wild strawberries and a citrus tang. We will also have the full range of our award winning still and sparkling wines available from the Nutty Bar.

A Mushroom & Sussex Blue Burger is also available as a vegetarian option.

Private Tours and Events

Private Tours & Tastings for groups have a minimum tour charge of £300 based on up to 12 guests at £25 each.
We begin with tea, coffee and home-made cakes. You will have a dedicated tour guide showing you around, including a walk through the vines and around the lakes to meet our alpacas and then a detailed introduction to the secrets of winemaking. The tours include a tutored tasting of our award-winning Sparkling and Still wines, either in the Wine Lodge or in the winery itself.
A barbecue lunch or supper can be added to a private tour (minimum 20 guests).

Bookings for picnics, events, tours and experiences are confirmed once the required deposit or payment has been made. Every booking is for a specific date and we reserve the space for you. Please ring us if you are not able to attend.
At more than 4 weeks notice – 10% of the expected total charge
At between 4 and 1 weeks notice – 50% of the expected total charge
At less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the expected total charge
Please dress appropriately for an outdoor experience.
Opening Hours
Our Cellar Door is currently open from Monday to Friday. You are most welcome to drop in to follow our Vineyard Trail and buy wine and farm meats.
